# App running-cost worksheet Use USD. This worksheet records your assumptions; it is not a vendor quote or a guaranteed bill. Check current Overskill pricing at https://www.overskill.com/pricing and each connected service's terms. Do not enter credentials or customer data. Workflow to operate: Owner of the recurring budget: Date reviewed: ## Fixed costs | Cost | Source or assumption and date | Amount (USD) | Billed monthly, yearly or once | Included? | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Platform | | | | | | Domain | | | | | | Service base fee | | | | | | Setup | | | Once | | ## Metered costs Use one unit per row. For maintenance, the unit can be an hour. Do not combine a price per hour with quantities expressed as minutes. | Cost / unit | Source or assumption and date | Rate (USD) | Per 1 or 1,000 | Included units/month | Low units/month | Base units/month | High units/month | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | External usage | | | | | | | | | Maintenance hours | | | 1 | 0 | | | | Blank is unknown. Enter 0 only for an explicit zero assumption. Excluded costs sit outside this plan. Keep low ≤ base ≤ high when all quantities are known. ## Calculate without the interactive tool 1. Keep monthly fixed rows at their entered amount. 2. Divide each yearly fixed amount by twelve for its monthly equivalent. Also list the full annual invoice separately. 3. For each metered row and scenario, subtract the monthly included quantity from usage, stop at zero, multiply by rate and divide by the unit size. 4. Round each modeled row to cents, halfway up; then add those rounded rows. List unknown and invalid rows alongside the known subtotal. 5. Sum one-time rows separately. Do not silently fold them into a monthly total or invent a first-month invoice. | Scenario | Known monthly subtotal | Unknown or invalid rows | Complete model for included rows? | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Low | | | | | Base | | | | | High | | | | Known one-time subtotal and gaps: Full fixed annual invoices and payment dates to confirm: This method is linear. It does not calculate tiers, minimum fees, whole-block purchases, tax, payment-processing fees, credit carryover or currency conversion. Use a provider's actual billing method where necessary. ## Check the fictional example Every amount below is invented. Monthly platform 120 + annual domain 24 ÷ 12 + monthly service base 10 + maintenance 30 × 2 = 192 before external usage. External usage costs 2 per 1,000 units, with 100 units included monthly. - Low 300 units: 192 + (300 − 100) × 2 ÷ 1,000 = 192.40. - Base 1,000 units: 192 + (1,000 − 100) × 2 ÷ 1,000 = 193.80. - High 4,000 units: 192 + (4,000 − 100) × 2 ÷ 1,000 = 199.80. - Setup is 200 once. Domain invoice is 24 yearly. - High 8,000 units becomes 207.80; low/base stay unchanged. - Blank usage rate leaves 192 known plus one unknown recurring row in every scenario. - Explicit zero usage rate yields 192 in each scenario, assuming all other example rows remain included and unchanged. ## Use the plan in Overskill Keep this worksheet with the app's brief. Name the first workflow, the services it needs, and who will verify each missing amount. Plan that workflow at https://www.overskill.com/learn#part-plan, then make its build brief at https://www.overskill.com/learn#brief-builder. Start build uses the normal account/build flow; access and credit requirements apply. This worksheet and the JSON export are not automatically imported into Overskill.
