Source B requires a 950-pixel horizontal span. Square cover shows 800 source pixels and portrait cover shows 1600/3. No horizontal alignment can preserve both required regions. Contain keeps the complete source, but small details still need actual-size review.

Square fill scales width by 1/4 and height by 3/8: no crop, but the proportions change.
