Adding a Spotify player to your app

Embed Spotify content using its supported player, then test it on your published app.

Use Spotify's supported embed player to put a track, album, playlist or podcast on a page in your app. Get the embed code from Spotify and ask the builder to add it to the page you choose.

Spotify explains how to create an embed. Follow its current instructions and terms. An embed uses Spotify's player; it does not copy the music into your app or grant you additional rights to the content.

Check the layout and playback in Preview, then publish and test the live page on desktop and mobile. Playback availability and restrictions come from Spotify. Keep a link to open the content in Spotify as an alternative if the embedded player cannot play it.

Adding the player is a builder change and uses credits. Other audio providers need their own supported embed instructions; do not assume a normal page URL can be used as a player.

Build with Overskill, not against it

The single biggest way to get more out of your credits: lean on what Overskill already gives you instead of asking it to rebuild things from scratch. Here's how to spot the difference.
