Selling on a ClickFunnels landing page and checkout, and want buyers to get access inside your Overskill app after they pay? Here's how to build and test that flow. This requires the ClickFunnels integration to be available for your workspace; if the connection or Manage webhooks control is absent, confirm availability with support before building.
How it works
- Someone buys on your ClickFunnels checkout.
- ClickFunnels sends an
order paid
webhook to your Overskill app. - Your app saves the buyer's email to a private list of paid members.
- The buyer signs in to your app with the same email they bought with, and the paid screens open up for them.
Step 1 — Set up your app
Paste this into your app's editor chat (fill in the brackets):
Add paid access using ClickFunnels purchases. 1) React to ClickFunnels order-paid events and save the buyer's email in an admin-only paid_members table. 2) Signed-in users whose verified email is in paid_members get a
paid memberrole. 3) Limit [screen names] to that role, and show everyone else aGet accessbutton linking to [ClickFunnels page URL]. Don't change or remove any other screens.
Publish the app so it can receive the events.
Step 2 — Send ClickFunnels events to your app
You usually don't create anything inside ClickFunnels by hand. Overskill receives the event, checks it really came from ClickFunnels, and passes it to your app. If the webhook shows Needs signing secret after you set it up, follow the instructions on that page.
- Connect ClickFunnels in Settings → Integrations if you haven't yet. See Connecting ClickFunnels.
- In the ClickFunnels connection, open Manage webhooks.
- Under Receive events in an app, pick your app and tick the events to receive:
one-time-order.completedfor one-time products,subscription.invoice.paidfor subscriptions. - Click Set up webhook.
Step 3 — Tell buyers which email to use
On your thank-you page, add something like: Create your account at [app link] using the same email you just purchased with.
Step 4 — Test it
Use a test purchase supported by your ClickFunnels payment setup; do not assume a real checkout is free. Sign up in the app with that email, and check that the locked screens open.
Optional
If you want access removed when someone refunds or cancels, ask the builder to handle those ClickFunnels events as well, and tick one_time_order.refunded and subscription.churned when you set up the webhook. They are not ticked by default. To add them later, remove the webhook and set it up again.
Verify the complete access flow
The buyer's verified sign-in email must match the purchase identity your app stores. Enforce the membership rule on the server as well as on the page. Handle repeated payment events idempotently, and test with an account that has not bought the product.
Cancellation and refund handling must be configured deliberately. Do not assume that receiving a purchase event also subscribes the app to every later membership event. Check the available events and the access behavior you actually built before accepting paid customers.
