Overview

Filature is a record-keeping system for a 140-hectare sericulture estate and reeling filature, documenting the complete journey from egg to graded skein. It tracks every stage of silk production—rearing, cocoon processing, reeling, testing, and trading—in a single printed record that can be adapted for any agricultural estate, multi-stage processing works, or traceability-led producer.

The signature screen

The buyer's account screen traces every bale through the entire production chain—back to the classing bench where it was graded, the specific reeling basin, the cocoon lot it came from, the rearing house where the larvae were raised, and even the plot from which they were fed. This screen is the core of the system's traceability function.
