Indenture

Indenture is the complete working system of a trade apprenticeship training provider that takes on apprentices with employers and carries them to a qualified trade - the operation that signs the agreement, maps each apprentice against the published occupational standard, proves the off-the-job training hours the funding rules demand, gathers portfolio evidence against every competency, runs the progress reviews with the employer in the room, decides when an apprentice is ready for the end-point assessment, books the independent assessor, grades the outcome and certifies the qualified tradesperson.

Thirteen real modules, each a browsable page with real seeded provider data. The APPRENTICE REGISTER carries every apprentice on programme with their trade, level, employer, start and planned end date, months elapsed against planned duration, progress and status. EMPLOYER AND PLACEMENT records the trading name, the named workplace mentor, the health and safety site approval and expiry, the breadth-of-work declaration and the levy or co-investment status. THE OCCUPATIONAL STANDARD AND COMPETENCY MATRIX publishes each trade standard with its reference code and version, every knowledge, skill and behaviour it lists, the assessment method each is evidenced by and the cohort's coverage. THE OFF-THE-JOB HOURS LEDGER proves the funding rule - contracted hours, required hours, hours logged by activity type from day release to toolbox talk, the running total and the projected shortfall at the current rate. PORTFOLIO EVIDENCE holds every witness testimony, work product, professional discussion and observation with the competencies it maps to and the assessor who verified it.

TRIPARTITE PROGRESS REVIEWS record the twelve-weekly meeting with apprentice, employer mentor and assessor each marked present or absent, the targets set and met, the safeguarding check and the on-track judgement. FUNCTIONAL SKILLS, ASSESSMENT READINESS with its six-condition gateway, END-POINT ASSESSMENT with its component grades, THE ASSESSOR AND QUALITY ASSURANCE REGISTER, FUNDING AND LEVY LEDGER and WITHDRAWAL AND BREAK IN LEARNING complete the provider's view. An APPRENTICE PORTAL gives an apprentice their own progress competency by competency, their off-the-job hours against the requirement with the shortfall named, the evidence still missing and their gateway conditions outstanding, and a PROVIDER DASHBOARD closes the loop.

The signature drawing is the competency attainment wheel: one trade standard's eighteen knowledge, skills and behaviours drawn as ruled radial spokes from a common centre, each spoke's attainment filled along its own length against the full-attainment ring, every competency code and its evidence count set on an opaque chip at the spoke's terminal end, and each competency with no evidence at all flagged in signal blue. Designed in 1930s British trade-guild indenture certificate crossed with letterpress woodtype job printing - a deep oxblood field, chalk white foreground, brass keylines and drop caps, ruled double borders and wide-tracked attestation lines, with a single signal blue reserved strictly for an off-the-job shortfall, a review off track, a gateway condition held or a withdrawal clawback.
