About this template

Knowledge Catalog turns a local service business into something an AI assistant can read, recommend and book. More than half of searches now end without a click, and assistants like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini answer "who should I call?" by reading structured data. This template is that structured data, built from one guided setup.

The owner works through a seven-step wizard: business basics and schema.org category, services with price ranges and the areas served, the ten questions every local customer asks (pre-listed, answers editable), credentials and insurance, hours and policies, reviews (add one or paste many), and a publish step with a readiness score. From that single record the app publishes a fast, mobile-first public page styled as a mid-century library catalog card, with LocalBusiness, Service, Offer and FAQPage JSON-LD embedded; a no-JavaScript twin at /business for crawlers that do not render scripts; /knowledge.json, a stable structured endpoint with every fact and the available actions; /agent.json and /.well-known/ai-plugin.json manifests; an llms-style plain-text profile at /llms-full.txt; and a robots.txt and sitemap that explicitly allow GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended and the other AI crawlers. Two agent actions, request a quote and book a visit, are plain JSON POST endpoints documented in every manifest; each request lands in the owner's inbox with an agent badge and emails the business.

A citation monitor holds up to ten questions customers ask, gives a copy-ready prompt for ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, records whether each assistant named the business, and charts the weekly citation rate. Ships with a sample plumbing company in Boise so every screen renders on first open; replace it in Setup and publish. No paid API calls, no checkout, owner-only back office.
