Lombard is the operating platform for a licensed pawnbroker and asset-lending house trading since 1931 from a single high-street shop with a strongroom, a bench workshop and a monthly saleroom. It advances cash against goods left in pledge — gold and bullion, watches, diamond and gem jewellery, silver, musical instruments, cameras and lenses, tools and a small high-value book in fine art and classic-car logbooks — and runs the whole cycle around them: taking-in with identification and provenance checks, bench valuation against the live metal fix and house LTV bands, the regulated consumer-credit loan book with contract terms and interest, redemptions, renewals and grace periods, strongroom custody by safe with per-safe value limits, disposal of the unredeemed through the saleroom, treasury and metal-fix cover, and a compliance register covering identification, high-value thresholds, police enquiries and NCA reporting. Pledgors get a portal to check their contract, redeem or renew. Designed in a 1930s Art Deco banking idiom — near-black and brass, Limelight display capitals, engraved keylines, a sunburst motif and tabular monospace figures, with every mark drawn as inline SVG.
