Sidegig
Sidegig is a small student-services marketplace for a school community — tutoring, yard work, pet care, tech help, photography and events help — built as a starter for DECA Sales Project and Business Services Marketing teams. The provider directory is the signature screen: category chips, search and sort, a card per provider with first name, initials avatar, one-line pitch, starting price, availability and rating, and a side panel with services, prices and reviews. Customers send a request with a service, preferred date, short description, first name and school email, get a request code, and track its status; prices are quotes settled in person, with no payments in the app. Providers work from a two-pane inbox where requests move from New to Accepted to Done (or Declined with a reason) with threaded notes, manage their own profile and see their reviews; a completed request unlocks a review from that customer. Chapter officers approve or pause providers, see all requests, hide reviews and manage categories. Content and seed data live in one file; the palette is six CSS variables.
