Splitsheet

Splitsheet is royalty split accounting and collaborator payouts for an independent record label and the artists on it. It exists to answer the question that ends most label relationships badly: for this period, on this recording, exactly what is each person owed and why. The label ingests streaming and publishing statements, applies each recording's agreed ownership splits, recoups outstanding advances, and pays every writer, producer and featured artist their share. The design is Blue Note Records mid-century album-cover modernism — Reid Miles working over Francis Wolff's photography. Enormous cropped Anton display type runs to and past the edge of its frame, flat two-tone plates stand in for the duotone cover treatment, and the credit typography of a 1958 back sleeve carries the personnel: small-caps names with their role, hairline-ruled. Deep ink blue and a single oxblood spot colour do all the signalling on warm paper stock, and every figure is set in decimal-aligned tabular numerals. No gradients, no glow, no album-art grid. The signature screen is the Split Waterfall for a single recording: gross receipts for the period, then each deduction and allocation as an explicit step — distributor fee, mechanicals owed to publishers, producer points off the top, advance recoupment against the artist's unrecouped balance — ending in each collaborator's net payable, with an ownership table whose percentages visibly sum to 100.00% and an error state for any recording where they do not. Around it sit per-DSP statement ingest with reconciliation status, collaborator detail with lifetime paid and unrecouped balance, an approvable payout run with its payment register, the catalog by ISRC, and a clean printed statement an artist could actually read. Remix it for anything that has to divide one pot of incoming money among several people by agreed percentages and then prove the arithmetic: record labels and publishers, film and TV residuals, book royalties, photo and stock licensing, affiliate and revenue-share programmes, co-writing collectives, or any agency splitting commission across a team.
