Tronc

Tronc is the back office a restaurant group uses to divide tips and service charge across everyone who worked, without argument. Service charge, card tips and declared cash come in per service and per venue; the distribution run allocates the net pot across the rota by hours worked and role-band point weighting, showing the arithmetic beside every line — hours x weighting = points, points to share percentage, share to exact pence — with column totals that reconcile to the net pot and an explicit rounding-remainder line so nothing disappears. Built for a three-venue group with six role bands, it covers the whole cycle: weekly periods that open and close, a per-venue pot ticker, role-band schedules that are approved before a period can be settled, an exceptions queue for unresolved hours or disputed declarations, and a per-person statement showing that employee's own points, share and payout for any closed period. The reconciliation footer states plainly whether the run balances, so a period is never closed on numbers that do not add up.
