Your videos play in your video host's dashboard and on your app's overskill.app address, but on your own domain they show a 403 or a not allowed
error. Nothing is wrong with your app. Your video host is refusing your custom domain.
Why it happens
Most video hosts (Bunny Stream, Vimeo, Wistia and similar) keep an allowed-domains list (sometimes called a referrer list) for each video library. It often lists only your app's overskill.app address, so when the same video loads on your own domain, the host blocks it.
How to fix it
- Open your video host and go to the security or privacy settings for the video library your app uses. On Bunny Stream, that's Stream, then your library, then Security, then Allowed Domains.
- Add your custom domain both with and without
www, and withouthttps://. For example,myrecipes.comandwww.myrecipes.com. - Save, then reload a page with a video on your custom domain.
You don't need to roll back, rebuild or message the builder, and it costs nothing.
Still blocked?
Check that the domains you added match the domain your app is connected to exactly, as shown in Dashboard → Domains in the editor. If they match and videos are still blocked, your video host's support can see your library's settings.
