The signature Water Chemistry Log is the statutory pool-water record sampled three times daily at the shallow end, the deep end and the balance tank: free and combined chlorine against the operating band, pH, total alkalinity, calcium hardness, cyanuric acid and turbidity, water and air temperature, bather load at the moment of sampling, and the corrective dose recorded against each out-of-band reading with the operator who made it. Behind it: the plant room as an isometric circulation circuit — balance tank, pumps on duty and standby, three sand filters with their backwash intervals and media age, the calcium hypochlorite and carbon dioxide dosing lines with drums in stock and days of cover, the heat exchanger and boiler with flow and return temperatures; bathing water sampling sent to the accredited laboratory with E. coli and intestinal enterococci counts against the intervention value, the resample chain and the notification duty; bather load and admissions with turnstile counts by session against the calculated maximum bathing load, the takings sheet by ticket class and the capacity margin flagged when it narrows; the lifeguard roster with the guard establishment set by the pool safety operating procedure, NPLQ qualification expiries, weekly drill records and incident reports written up to the emergency action plan; the heritage fabric register carrying the listed structure element by element — the Deco filtration tower, the terrazzo deck, the cantilever diving stage, the changing-cubicle terrace — each graded on condition, dated at last inspection, with its outstanding repair and estimated cost; consents and casework tracking listed building consent applications, the conditions attached and the correspondence with the local authority and the amenity society; the winter works programme costing the closed-season repair and repaint schedule against budget; and club and lane hire putting the swimming club, triathlon squad and school bookings on the lane timetable with the income each brings. Season-ticket holders get their own portal showing today's water temperature and chemistry, the session timetable, their swim history and their own ticket. Touchline is the match officials and safeguarding record of a sport's national governing body — the operational file kept by its referees committee and its safeguarding team, not a fan app and not a league table. The fold is the working appointments board for the current round: referee, two assistants and a fourth official against every fixture, with acceptance status, travel distance, conflict-of-interest checks against club affiliation and every unfilled slot flagged, over an availability window each official submits per round. Behind it sits the officials register — every registered referee, assistant and observer with registration number, level from grassroots entry up to the national list, region, registration status and expiry. Match reports and misconduct records cautions and dismissals per fixture against the disciplinary code, with each report timed against the forty-eight-hour submission deadline. Observation and assessment carries an observer's mark against a competency framework across control, positioning, application of law and management, a rolling average and a promotion or retention recommendation, feeding a season promotion list scored against published criteria. The fitness test register tracks the standard interval test, attempt, result and retest date beside the law examination record and in-service CPD attendance. The safeguarding file holds criminal-record check status and expiry per official, the mandatory safeguarding certificate and its renewal, the designated safeguarding officer, and a case register running referral, risk assessment, interim measures, outcome and review schedule, alongside a whistleblowing and concerns log. Expenses and match-fee claims run to an approval status. And the assault-on-officials register — the reason the whole file exists — records every incident of abuse directed at an official. Officials get their own portal showing their appointments, availability submission, rolling mark average and compliance status. Designed in the lineage of Dutch late-modernist grid systems crossed with the flat white linework of pitch markings — a deep cold pitch-green ground, chalk hairline geometry used as the structure of the layout itself, letterspaced condensed capitals, monospaced tabular figures, and colour reserved strictly for state: one chalk-yellow for caution, one deep red for dismissal and safeguarding escalation.

Crimp

A complete operations platform for an independent indoor climbing gym and its route-setting programme — a 14-metre lead wall, nine top-rope lines, a 220-square-metre bouldering cave across six setting zones, 1,180 members and roughly 3,400 holds. The signature Wall Board carries every zone as a dense row: zone code, square metres, panel angles, live problem count, date last stripped, days since reset against the target interval, the setter on the last reset, holds reserved for the next set, tape colour in use, and hard flags for RESET OVERDUE, HOLDS SHORT, BOLT TORQUE CHECK DUE, GRADE CONSENSUS DISPUTED and CLOSED FOR SETTING. Behind it: a register of every live problem and route with the setter's proposed grade set against the community consensus grade computed from member votes, style tags, hold brands, move count and send and flash counts; a rolling reset calendar with crew hours, the grade-spread brief each zone must carry and forerunning slots; a hold and volume inventory across 41 brands tracking what is on the wall against what is in stock, with worn holds flagged for retirement; membership with belay and lead certification expiries and waiver versions; a 38-strong youth squad with campus and hangboard load progressions and growth-plate cautions by age; a twelve-round boulder league with per-competitor scorecards, tops, zones and countback; and the safety spine of mat checks, anchor torque figures, rope fall logs against retirement thresholds and auto-belay service intervals. Members get their own portal with their certifications, a personal logbook that builds a grade pyramid, and their league standing. Drawn entirely in 1980s Memphis Group idiom — terrazzo-speckle grounds, squiggle rules, flat geometric primitives with hard offset shadows, and a hand-authored inline-SVG elevation of the cave where every grade band owns its real tape colour.
