Clearance

Clearance is the operating record of a national football association's registrations department — the office that clears a player to play for a club in another association, and polices who gets paid when they do. It is the paperwork behind a transfer, kept properly. The record opens on the departure board. Forty-seven dockets crossed the desk this registration period, and the fold prints the partition on its face — 47 dockets = 28 cleared + 12 pending + 5 refused + 2 withdrawn — alongside a second, independent one: 48 ITC + 10 TC = 58 certificates. Ten association windows are open and thirteen are closed, and both numbers are countable off the board itself. The transfer matching desk holds each requested move with its counterpart association, the International Transfer Certificate requested, issued or refused, and the registration window it falls in. Minor protection records moves involving players under eighteen and the narrow exemptions claimed for them — parents relocated for non-football reasons, the fifty-kilometre cross-border rule, the intra-EEA sixteen-to-eighteen provision — with the sub-committee's decision against each. Training rewards itemises training compensation and the solidarity mechanism, naming every former club, the seasons it trained the player and its share of the fee, and the itemisation sums exactly to the stated total rather than approximating it. Third-party ownership records declarations, prohibited economic-rights interests found, and the sanctions that followed. Intermediaries holds registered agents, their declared representation contracts, commission measured against the cap, and dual-representation disclosures. Bridge-transfer surveillance flags chains of moves for review. The window board tracks deadlines by association, and the disciplinary and appeal record closes the file. Everything is pinned to a fixed as-of date of 6 October 2026 within the 2026/27 registration period. Visually, Clearance is an airport departure board crossed with a bonded-warehouse customs carnet, c.1976–1984. The dark side is a drawn split-flap Solari board in amber phosphor on near-black, every character in its own flap cell with a hairline hinge rule across the middle, spinning up through a short flicker on load and settling instantly for anyone who prefers reduced motion. The light side is a pale security-tint carnet: engraved guilloche rosettes underprinted beneath the documents, perforated tear edges, counterfoil stubs, a serial number on every page, and rubber-stamp impressions struck at a slight angle with genuinely broken ink edges. A persistent board rail runs down the left against the carnet canvas on the right, so the fold shows a real docket rather than a marketing hero. Every mark on the page is drawn as inline SVG — no raster imagery, no club crests, no stock photography. Built for federations, leagues, registration and compliance departments, and any governing body that has to clear a transaction, show the money that moved with it, and defend both on appeal.
