About this template

Overview

Nock is the operating record of a shooting club's range safety and membership office. It exists to prove, for every session held on the ground, that the range was safe to shoot, that a competent officer was on the line, that the equipment had been inspected and that the archer had been shown the rules.

What you get

  • Range register and danger areas - each range with its arc radius, overshoot, lateral margin and backstop, plotted as a range danger area drawing, with the ground and public-access footpaths that cross it
  • Range Conducting Officers - the officer roster, certificates, expiry dates and the officer of the day, with sessions blocked from opening without a named, current officer
  • Session and shooting-line log - whistle and horn commands, archers on the line, lane allocation, wind and weather, and the signed close of every session
  • Equipment and bow inspection - draw weights, limb and string inspection intervals, club-kit condition and withdrawal from service
  • Probationary members and beginners - the beginners' course, the rules sign-off, and the gate from probationary to full shooting rights
  • Classification and round scores - rounds shot, scores returned and classification awarded against the governing body's bands
  • Incidents and near misses - every incident recorded with the cause, the officer on duty and the action taken
  • Insurance, affiliation and licensing - the club's affiliation, insurance and ground compliance record
  • Bookings and lane allocation - who is on which lane, when
  • Member portal and officer's board - a member-facing view and the range officer's own operational dashboard

Who it's for

Archery, field-archery and target-shooting clubs, range operators, and any club that must evidence range safety and member competence to an affiliating body or insurer.
